Universal Music launches an in-depth classical music online magazine

Universal Music (UM), the world’s dominant music industry player, has launched a new classical website aimed at beginners, experts and everyone in between. In an altruistic move, UM promises that sinfinimusic.com will support the entire classical record industry, not just those labels from within its own stable. The new site has already signed up leading journalists – including Norman Lebrecht – to give an unbiased, authoritative perspective on classical music live, recorded and online.

The site caters for beginners through to avid enthusiasts. An unapologetic ‘Learn’ tab directs users to the more educational part of the site, where they will find everything from a comprehensive timeline plotting musical history against significant historical events to comic-strip opera guides and colourful composer biographies through to musician profiles, repertoire analysis and authoritative reviews.
